Up until about 25 years ago I was always sitting in the cheap seats watching the actors on stage and saying to myself, I know that I could do that.  Well I finally took the plunge and walked onto a community theatre production of Mame as part of the chorus.  I was told go stand in the back and do what those other three guys do.  So I did.  It wasn't much, but it was enough for me to realize that I really like this.  It also didn't take long even in that first experience to have an idea that this acting stuff wasn't as easy as it looked.  In fact it was hard work, but very rewarding!  I have been acting ever since and finding ways to explore my creative side.  As a former bank vice president and working in the financial part of the corporate world it would have been easy for me to ignore those voices that kept saying that I should continue to pursue acting as more than just a passing notion.  I love performing and the craft that is acting.  Not long ago I often would sit in the movie theater or find myself watching a classic film on TCM and thinking, I bet I could do that too.  Like acting on stage I quickly discovered that acting on camera is a difficult task, one that requires a tremendous amount of discipline and skill,  I have come to develop a great admiration for actors and those who work in all of the other various professions that comprise the industry.  Success is a collaborative effort that requires all who are involved to work together and know that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.  I believe that my strength lies in the ability to support the story and provide life to a character who allows the entire ensemble to perform at its best.  I treat others with respect because our jobs are hard enough without having to ask for what we all deserve.  I appreciate your interest in me as an actor and as a person.  Contact me if you feel that I may be a good fit for your project.  I welcome the opportunity.
